The Story
Alexandra was born at the Paoli Hospital. She was in a hurry. It was less than three hours from the time Erin’s water broke to when she was born. The nurses were shocked at how quickly things progressed. Apparently we were the talk of the town that night and had a bunch of nurses stopping in to see the crazy mom and baby.
Erin handled the whole ordeal like a champ, especially considering that she had absolutely no pain medication at all. They were able to give her some local anesthesia but not much else. She pushed for about 20 minutes and then it was all over and she had her new baby.
The recovery is going well. We were released from the hospital on Monday, 2/27/06. Now we are just trying to adjust to the new life that so suddenly came into being.
